Indicator Completed: Building Exposure to Heatwaves for CLIMAAX Project

The Building Exposure to Heatwaves indicator has been successfully completed for Aigaleo as part of the CLIMAAX project. This indicator assesses the physical vulnerability of the building stock to overheating, considering construction period, materials, insulation levels, and orientation.

Developed through a dedicated Focus Group in September 2025, the analysis combined municipal building data with spatial assessment to identify neighborhoods with a high concentration of thermally vulnerable buildings. The results directly connect climate hazards with infrastructure resilience.

This indicator supports targeted interventions for building retrofitting and urban cooling strategies.
