Regions and municipalities meet in Barcelona at the CLIMAAX Workshop

Last week, Demokritos had the pleasure of participating in the CLIMAAX Workshop held in Barcelona 🇪🇸, a key gathering of European partners focused on strengthening climate resilience across regions.

🎤 Representing our team, Dr. Iasonas Markantonis presented the Aigaleo Use Case developed within the CLIMAAX framework, showcasing our efforts to assess local climate risks and support evidence-based adaptation planning at the municipal level.

It was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge with fellow experts, local authorities, and institutions from across Europe, exploring diverse strategies for climate risk forecasting, management, and sustainability.

🌱 Discussions emphasized the role of nature-based solutions, strategic planning, and community resilience in responding to challenges like heatwaves, floods, and wildfires.
