{"id":2631,"date":"2025-06-20T15:20:01","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T15:20:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/climaerel.ipta.demokritos.gr\/?p=2631"},"modified":"2025-06-20T15:21:48","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T15:21:48","slug":"climate-erel-at-ecca-2025-showcasing-innovation-in-climate-adaptation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/climaerel.ipta.demokritos.gr\/index.php\/2025\/06\/20\/climate-erel-at-ecca-2025-showcasing-innovation-in-climate-adaptation\/","title":{"rendered":"Climate EREL at ECCA 2025: Showcasing Innovation in Climate Adaptation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\ud83c\udf0d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/climate-erel\/\">Climate EREL<\/a> attended ECCA\u202f2025&nbsp;in Rimini (16\u201318 June), where we showcased significant strides in two major Horizon\u202fEurope initiatives:<br>\ud83d\udd39 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/eosc-climate-adapt-4\/\">Climate Adapt 4 EOSC<\/a><br>&#8211; Pioneering climate data interoperability and adaptation services on the European Open Science Cloud\u2014bringing us closer to seamless, EOSC-powered climate resilience solutions.<br>\ud83d\udd39 ICARIA \u2013 Improving Climate Resilience of Critical Assets<br>We presented major insights from this Horizon\u202fEurope project, which:<br>&#8211; Develops advanced, asset-level models and high-res climate scenarios (e.g., GCM\/CORDEX downscaling).<br>&#8211; Tests solutions across three European regions\u2014including the South\u202fAegean region in Greece\u2014plus additional replication sites.<br>&#8211; Builds a toolkit featuring datasets, interactive maps, a DSS for scenario comparison, and portfolios of adaptation measures.<br><br>These contributions underscored how data-driven approaches and modelling frameworks can accelerate systemic, evidence-based adaptation\u2014engaging asset managers, policy-makers, and communities alike.<br><br>\ud83d\ude4fMany thanks to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/search\/results\/all\/?keywords=%23ecca&amp;origin=HASH_TAG_FROM_FEED\">#ECCA<\/a> organisers and fellow delegates.
